Hall Improvement Project - latest!
We are delighted to report that current work on the Village Hall Improvement Project is nearly finished, thanks to funding awarded for Phases 1 and 2 - the installation of renewable energy solutions. Our sincere thanks go to Local Energy Scotland and our funders for their support:
Phase 1: Scottish Borders Council (Cheviot Neighbourhood Support Fund)
Phase 2: The Scottish Government's Community and Renewable Energy Scheme (CARES) and Borders Community Action (Village Halls Retrofit grant - from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund)
Further information on the Improvement Project can be seen on the 'Future Plans' page.
Library Cafe - 11 March 2025 - a first look at our greener Hall!
As well as everything you have come to expect at our regular coffee mornings - great company, great coffee, great cakes and the library bus visit - this time we will be able to show you all the new green energy improvements made to the Hall! And if you are wondering how you might be able to make your own home warmer or easier/cheaper to heat, then we will have lots of information on support available from Home Energy Scotland and Changeworks.
